Principal and Drama teacher
Miss Gemma (Principal), the founder of Premier Drama Academy, is an experienced Drama teacher, DBS cleared and has worked with many professionals within the drama field.
From a very young age Gemma has had a passion for the stage and screen alike, performing in many musicals and plays, such as 'Singing in the rain', 'Jesus Christ Superstar' and 'Steel Magnolias'.
At the age of 16, she auditioned and was awarded a place at the prestigious NYT (National Youth Theatre) in London and trained with them on their Summer course and has trained with LAMDA and Trinity College, as well as having a degree in Performing arts and a PGCE in Eglish, Drama and Media.
Furthermore, she has appeared on our TV screens in programmes such as: 'Hollyoaks' and 'Jonathan Creek' alongside Alan Davies and Caroline Quentin.
Gemma is an accredited LAMDA and New Era Academy teacher and has gained invaluable knowledge and skills with the both boards and through this loves to ignite a passion for performing with children and adults alike.
Miss JODIE
Musical Theatre Teacher
Jodie has been working as a professional performer for over 10 years. She trained at 'Carol Godbys Theatre Workshop' and from there has worked on various T.V shows, stage shows, film, commercials and Radio. Jodie has landed the role of 'Jenny Marshall' on a new itv drama 'Homefires'. Her previous work consists of:
My Mad Fat Diary playing Vicky Barnish. Shameless playing Sarah Berry. DCI Banks playing Bernadette. Moving On playing Lou. Coronation Street playing Gemma Davenport and Linda Green playing Leanne Fenton. Jodie appeared in the film 'Spike Island' in 2013 where she played the role of Shelley.
Jodie's stage credits include: The musical 'Our Benny' playing Maisie at Liverpool Empire. Lead vocalist in 'Glee the Concert' at The Palace Theatre Manchester. Lead vocalist in 'Back in the habit' ( sister act ) at Liverpool Empire. Jodie has also toured with 'The Greastest kids sing a long' and For five consecutive years she has played leading lady in Cinderella, Jack and the beanstalk, Aladdin, and Snow White at Preston Charter Theatre. Most recently, Jodie has appeared on The Voice with her singing group - Monroe.
Jodie has vast experience teaching at workshops, summer schools and schools ages from 4-21. For 4 years Jodie taught drama, singing and dance at 'Carol Godbys Theatre Workshop'. Jodie loves to share her knowledge and experiences of the industry and encourage the young and upcoming performers of today to bring out their best potential and to make them confident all round performers .
Miss HANNAH
Dance Teacher
After graduating from SLP in 2017, Hannah has worked non-stop in the industry, branching out into all aspects of performance including runway modelling, TV commercials, films, and theatre. Her recent work includes A Christmas Spectacular - where she featured as a vocalist, P&O cruises as a dancer, and Roses of Whitechapel, where she played leading lady "Liz Stride". She is excited to be working for Premier Drama Academy and inspiring the next generation of performers.
Miss PEARL
Pearl started singing lessons when she was 6 years old and has her grade 8 from Trinity College London. She has been in a variety of different productions at the charter theatre and performed in choirs backing Katherine Jenkins and Russel Watson. After completing a course in Musical Theatre at Runshaw College and receiving 1-1 drama lessons from Premier Drama Academy's Principle Gemma, she went on to achieve a first class degree in Professional Musicianship specialising in vocals, teaching and music theory at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute in Manchester. Pearl is DBS cleared and has experience teaching vocal techniques, songwriting skills and simple instrumentation to children from reception to year 6 at various primary school.

Miss AMIE
Circus Teacher and Admin Assistant
Miss Amie has been a dedicated member of PDA since the age of 14, starting as a pupil in Drama and Musical Theatre. She has honed her skills through 121 Singing lessons with Miss Jodie and 121 Drama lessons with Miss Gemma, achieving distinctions in her New Era Academy Drama and Musical Theatre exams and earning medals in both disciplines. Alongside her achievements in performing arts, Amie has gained valuable television experience working as a support artist on various dramas. Amie is also a certified circus teacher through Dance Cirque, specialising in teaching silks and hoop. Her passion for performing arts and teaching shines through in everything she does. Now, as a valued member of the PDA admin team, Amie loves contributing to the PDA community and supporting students on their artistic journeys.
